We welcome you as a practicing artist, designer, dilettante, amateur artist or a student
with an interest in this subject to enter The Worlds Richest Bookplate Design Award.



At the end of September Melbourne is still in the grip of Covid lockdown and private groupings and gatherings inside public facilities are still not allowed.

The Trustees are determined that as soon as restrictions ease and the judges are allowed to meet in person at The State Library of Victoria judging of the Competition will occur.

Judges for the Competition will be:

Sasha Grishin is an Emeritus Professor at the Australian National University and works internationally as an art historian, art critic and curator.

Des Cowley is Rare Printed Collections Manager at The State Library of Victoria. Des is a senior librarian, curator, reviewer and has been involved in the judging of literary and art awards.

Leigh Hobbs is an artist and author. Leigh is best known for the humorous children's books he has written and illustrated. Leigh has produced artworks across a wide range of mediums.

The trustees have chosen seven prize categories with a $20,000 prize pool...
